  • L'Aubois History Museum of Education (MAHE.) Was established in 1976 on the initiative of the County Centre for Educational Documentation (CDDP) of the Dawn, the Departmental Lending Library (BDP) of Commission of Cultural Affairs of the General Council of the Aube, inspection Academy of Dawn and the National Institute of Research and Educational Information (INRDP) today became National Institute of Educational Research (NPRI). The General Council then finances the Museum. CDDP is responsible for its management and its animation. The museum is in symbiosis with CDDP and is located in the same premises, rue Saint-Martin-Es-Aires, in the old school Michelet (whose local Troyes relinquished jurisdiction in favor of the department). Meanwhile, in 1976, created a l'Aubois Association of Friends of the History of Education (AAMAHÉ.) Which aims to safeguard the educational heritage, the development of the museum, by using research and exposure collections. The AAMAHÉ. is responsible for collecting donations which allowed to have a large number of various documents. In 1991, the CDDP leaves the site of Saint-Martin-Es-Aires and landscape to its current location, renovated by the General Council, Lombard Avenue. It coexists with the University Institute of Training of Masters (IUFM) of the Academy of Reims. With the proposed visits, MAHÉ allows adults to dive into their childhood memories, the students live in the past of their parents and grandparents, to understand the differences between the school of today and of yesteryear .
