  • Energy in short supply - Roger Salengro Street

The stele "L'Energie fauchée" is a reproduction of Léon Messiaen's work made in 1915.
It represents a young man picked up on himself, seemingly seeking in him a last resource.

The city of Troyes made this copy from the original plaster kept at the Museum of Fine Arts in Troyes. The installation of this work marks the commemoration of the centenary of the First World War and serves to remind the younger generations of this memory, through emblematic works of this period and the sacrifice of an entire generation.
