Remains a refugee at the altar of Pallas - Place St Nizier
Work of Pierre-Charles Simart, a Trojan artist born in 1806 and died in 1857 in Paris.
He was inspired by the version of the story of Orestes told by Aeschylus.
It is a bronze casting made from a plaster model preserved at the Museum of Fine Arts in Troyes. The original sculpture was made in Rome in 1838. Its marble construction can be found at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rouen.
