  • Rebuilt in stone by H. Schmitt, architect fot the Société des Bains de Mer, on the base of the old wooden circus that burned in 1892.
    The horseshoes emblems that decorate the capitals of the façade indicate that it was an Equestre Circus.

    The first wooden circus was completely destroyed by a gigantic fire in 1892. In 1905, the new municipal circus was built and then hosted equestrian shows, boxing matches and even cinema. Classified historical monument in 1975, it closed its doors during three years, to be arranged in theater. In 1978, the Champagne Theater was born. With a capacity of 1,080 seats or 1,350 seats sitting / standing, it is fully privatized, depending on the cultural program.
