Messon is framed to the northeast by its church of St. Peter the Baptist, whose apse and transept date from the 16th century. The nave, designed in 16th to 19th century style, is inserted into the building afterwards.
Some of its furnishings are classified as historical monuments.
For example, there is a painted ceramic bust of Edme François Congniassé Desjardins de Fontvannes from the 18th/19th century and a small wooden statuette sculpted, painted, gilded, silvered and composed of a Virgin of the Assumption whose statuette dates from the 17th century and the assembly of the whole 19th century.
